Oto Anthro: Home Ear Care Developed by an ENT Surgeon
Oto Anthro (Otolaryngological Anthropology Incorporated) makes a small, plainly labeled line of home ear and airway care products. Every product is developed by a board-certified otolaryngologist — an ENT surgeon — and bottled in the United States. Nothing in the line is medicated. Each product does one thing, and the label says what is in the bottle.
Auil Ear Drops: for dry ears and earwax buildup
Auil is a line of single-ingredient ear drops that soften earwax and moisturize dry, itchy ear canals. Each arrives in a 30 ml (1.01 fl oz) glass dropper bottle with no fragrances, preservatives, or harsh additives.
Auil (Mineral Oil) Ear Drops — $14.99. 100% pure pharmaceutical-grade mineral oil in an amber glass dropper bottle. Inert and unscented; the most widely recommended earwax softener and a sensible default for sensitive, easily irritated canals.
Olive Auil Ear Drops — $17.99. 100% organic extra virgin olive oil. The most studied of the natural earwax softeners, and the one usually chosen for stubborn, hardened wax.
Coconut Auil Ear Drops — $17.99. 100% fractionated coconut oil (caprylic/capric triglyceride). Lighter feel than olive oil, and fractionated so it stays liquid at room temperature instead of solidifying in cold weather.
Two-bottle bundles are available at 10% off: Mineral + Olive and Mineral + Coconut at $32.98, Olive + Coconut at $35.98.
How to use: Tilt head to the side. Apply 5–10 drops into the ear canal. Wait 15–30 seconds. Return head upright and wipe away excess. Use weekly, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Use one formula at a time.
Who tends to use them: people managing seasonal or climate dryness, swimmers, and daily earbud or hearing-aid wearers, for whom consistent softening keeps wax moving before it builds into a blockage.
Roncaid Chin Lift Support Tape: an alternative to mouth taping
Roncaid is a chin lift support tape for promoting natural nighttime breathing. It is not mouth tape and it does not seal the lips — the mouth stays free to open at any time.
Each strip applies under the chin and uses external hyoid suspension, drawing the suprahyoid muscles forward to widen the lower airway. The tape is hypoallergenic, latex-free, breathable cotton-blend kinesiology fabric with a skin-safe acrylic adhesive, manufactured to FDA and CE safety standards for topical adhesives.
Roncaid Chin Lift Support Tape — $7.99. Seven pre-cut strips, one week per pack. Sizes: Extra Small, Small, Regular, Extra Large.
Roncaid Subscription — $23.99/month. Four packs delivered monthly. Pause or cancel anytime.
How to use: Clean and dry the skin on and under the chin. Tilt the head slightly upward. Apply the square edge where the chin meets the neck. Lower the chin while gently pulling the tape forward. Press the rounded edge onto the front of the chin. Remove in the morning. Not recommended with under-chin facial hair, as adhesion is reduced.
Common questions
Which Auil oil should I choose? Olive oil is the heaviest of the three and is usually chosen for stubborn, hardened wax. Mineral oil is the most inert and unscented. Coconut oil feels lightest and is the easiest daily habit. Many people keep two and alternate.
Is Roncaid the same as mouth tape? No. Mouth tape seals the lips closed. Roncaid applies under the chin and supports the muscles there, leaving the mouth free to open.
